why does home air conditioner fan stop?
i have a 4 ton air conditioner. it will run several hours and the fan will stop. the compressor is still running. i cut off power for a few minutes then restore power and it will start up again .also the airflow inside house has deminished. please help.
the air conditioner does it several times a day but not at night.
If the condenser fan motor runs at night but not in the day it is possible that it is over heating. If you have a ohm meter make sure to check the ohms going to fan.
